In my last post, I went all out and compiled a massive list of the top 75 ecchi manga—complete with series synopses, and even a glimpse of the raunchy panels. I based the rankings on user scores from the three biggest manga and anime directory sites, pitting the most popular titles against each other to see which ones truly deserve a spot in the top 75.
But today’s post is all about keeping it simple (and spicy!). I’m giving you the unfiltered, full list of best ecchi manga. Don’t worry about sticking to a single genre—this lineup has everything from action and romance to horror and comedy, all wrapped in that oh-so-suggestive ecchi goodness.
Now, I can’t vouch for every manga in this collection (sometimes you’ve got to kiss a few frogs to find your prince), but there are definitely some hidden gems. A few I personally recommend checking out? GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka, Change 123, and History’s Strongest Disciple—each delivers a mix of saucy scenes and solid storytelling.
One last heads-up: a lot of these manga aren’t published in English, so you might need to get creative when tracking them down. Ready to dive into the best ecchi manga the internet has to offer? Let’s get started!

Top 75 of the best ecchi manga list

“To Love Ru” is a well-known classic within the ecchi manga genre, ranking 74th in MyAnimeList’s user-voted rankings for best ecchi manga and has even been parodied in an episode of “Gintama”.
However, the series has faced controversy. In 2014, the ninth volume of “To Love Ru Darkness” was classified “harmful publication” under its Youth Protection and Nurturing Ordinance in japan and the Australian Classification Board decided not to classify volumes 2–13 and 15, citing content that is likely to cause offense to a reasonable adult.

Prison School is another relatively recent manga that may eventually climb higher on the best ecchi manga list. It was written and illustrated by Akira Hiramoto, who won the General Manga Category award at the 2013 Kodansha Awards for this series.

You may be wondering why some segments are blacked out with a red line. That was done because, when the graphic was created, the subject of the manga was considered too inappropriate even for this list. I will warn you that some titles may have been missed, so please proceed with caution.

Another popular entry on the best ecchi manga list is Love Hina, an ecchi classic that has sold over 20 million copies in circulation. The manga earned the Kodansha Manga Award for best shōnen title and was also chosen as the “Best Manga, USA Release” at both the 2002 and 2004 Anime Expo conventions.

High school of the dead is a popular manga but a highly popular anime, even if you haven’t watched the anime you have definitely seen the famous sniper clip online.

City Hunter is another wildly popular manga on the best ecchi manga list, it has spawned four anime television series, three anime specials, three TV movies and two animated feature films
Also, several live-action adaptations, including a Hong Kong film starring Jackie Chan, a French film, a Korean TV drama and a variety of video games based on the franchise.

I have read Übel Blatt, Fire Force, and Air Gear, out of those I can recommend two of the three. Übel Blatt starts strong but soon begins to read like any other generic revenge fantasy.
Fire Force, from the author of Soul Eater, is an immediate sequel and stays continually interesting, with great art. Air Gear ultimately starts strong, and remains interesting, if not sometimes confusing.

As you can see, Cage of Eden appears twice on the best ecchi manga list—at numbers 35 and 34, respectively. Because of this, I thought it would be a good opportunity to spotlight the series and remind you to check out its synopsis and artwork here.

Food Wars! Ranks 28th on the user-rated anime list. The story follows an aspiring chef who enrolls in an elite culinary academy, where students compete in high-stakes cooking battles.
Several critics have shared their thoughts on the series. Rebecca Silverman of Anime News Network praised the art. However, she criticized the amount of fan service, remarking that it might make some readers uncomfortable.
In an article for Kotaku discussing fan service, Cecilia D’Anastasio also commented that she would not watch the anime due to what she called a “distracting breast-to-food quotient.

We’ve finally reached the end of the list, and the most popular ecchi manga here is a true classic: GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka). Written and illustrated by Tooru Fujisawa, it ran from January 1997 to February 2002, with the chapters collected into 25 tankōbon volumes. The story follows Eikichi Onizuka, a 22-year-old ex-bōsōzoku member who becomes a teacher at Holy Forest Academy, a private middle school in Tokyo, Japan.
