This policy explains what information readmanga.cool (“Read Manga”, “we”)
What we collect
- Contact and sign-up forms. When you send a message or sign up for emails, we store what you enter (such as your name and email address) so we can reply or send what you asked for. These entries are stored on our website. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in each email.
- Giveaway entries. If you enter a giveaway, we use your details to run it and contact the winner. See our Giveaway Rules.
- Your watchlist. The watchlist and “watched” buttons on our ranking pages save your choices in your own browser (local storage). They are never sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes them.
- Rate limiting. To stop abuse, some features briefly store a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for up to 12 hours. We never store your actual IP address for this.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular. Google Analytics uses cookies, and we only turn it on if you agree through our cookie banner. Embedded content
Trailers come from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode and only load when you press play. Streaming information comes from TMDB and JustWatch. When you visit other websites from our links, their own privacy policies apply.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell your data. We only share it with services needed to run the site: our hosting provider (Hostinger), Google (analytics), and our email service when we send newsletters.
How long we keep it
Messages and sign-ups are kept until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe. Giveaway entries are deleted within 3 months of a giveaway ending, except the winner’s details, which are kept as long as needed to deliver the prize.
Cookies and analytics
We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the site, through heatmaps and anonymised session recordings. It uses cookies and only runs if you agree through our cookie banner. Learn more at https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
Your rights
