Mushoku Tensei Trending Graph: Is Season 3 Its Best Comeback?

Our Mushoku Tensei trending graph charts every rated episode of one of the most divisive isekai ever made. Some fans call it the best the genre has produced, while others never got past Rudeus himself. IMDb rates the show an 8.2 overall,

but that single number hides a much bumpier ride. We mapped all 60 rated episodes across three seasons (data via seriesgraph) to see where the show soars, where it sags, and why Season 3 might be its most dramatic season yet.

To find out, we mapped every episode using public audience scores from IMDb, inspired by seriesgraph, and built two Mushoku Tensei trending graphs.

• Three seasons: Season 1 (23 episodes, 2021), Season 2 (24 episodes, 2023–24), and Season 3 (14 episodes, 2026, still airing as of this snapshot).
• Color coding: dark green is under 8.0, mid-green is 8.0–8.5, light green is 8.5–9.0, and gold is 9.0 and up. A dashed box marks the one episode not yet rated.
• Trendline: the dashed horizontal bars show each season’s average score out of 10.

Key Findings & Standout Numbers

• Season 1 is still the most consistent (8.1 average): Two episodes hit gold, E17 (9.0) and E21 (9.4), and the season never drops below 7.1.
• Season 2’s slow burn (7.7 average): 18 of its 24 episodes score under 8.0, and E7 bottoms out at 6.9. Then E22 spikes to 9.3, one of the biggest single-episode jumps in the series.
• The series low (6.5): Season 3 starts strong at 8.3 and 8.2, then drops into a seven-episode slump that ends at E7, the lowest-rated episode of the entire show.
• The comeback (9.7): Every Season 3 episode since that low has scored higher than the one before, climbing 6.5 → 7.0 → 7.2 → 8.4 → 9.0 → 9.5 → 9.7. E13 is now the highest-rated episode in the series, and the top two spots both belong to Season 3.
• Overall: Across 60 rated episodes, the average episode score is 7.9, while the show itself scores 8.2.
